Thanks for all your support. I have two important questions. The first one regarding my GC status and conditional status and the second concerning a DUI violation.
I recently divorced my US citizen wife officially. We were separated for about a year before it was completed. We lived together for 6 years and were married for 3. I applied for the removal of conditional status almost 2 years ago and have not heard a response.
What do I need to do now? Do I have to apply again on my own? Should I wait for an interview to clarify my case? I am extremely confused.
Also please note that, I recently changed my address, it took me a year to find out I had to do it. However, no information arrived to my old address. I am sure about this, because my ex and I are in good terms. It just didn't work.
On the other hand, she is about to remarry, well it didn't take long I know. And she will be leaving the US. I wish her the best of luck
DUI.
I was arrested for DUI a couple of months ago. I can walk away with the minimal penalty, because it was my first offense. I will be in probation for one year, must pay some fees and it seems this will be wiped out of my record.
Will this jeopardize my conditional status? I don't think is considered a felony but, I want to make sure before I pled guilty. I can’t walk away innocent because I took the breathalyzer test.
I will appreciate your support with these issues.
Thank you,
F
