Divorce and its implications on citizenship application

Hello...

I am living in the States for more than 5 years and I am married to an American citizen. I already have a GC and I did apply last year in July for citizenship in MN but I did not get my interview date yet. Now I'd like to divorce but I am afraid that this would have an impact on my citizenship application.

Is this true? Any experiences?

if your application is based on 5-year residence, you are ok. if it is based on 3-year residence, you are not.
divorce is a very serious issue. consider it really really carefully before taking action. if relationship could be repaired, try best. god bless.
