I have been here for 11 years on various visas. I met my now husband 9 years ago and we dated on an off over the years. 2 years ago we married, and he turned into super A%$ Hole, VERY controlling, (telling me where I can and cant go, who I can see and cant see, where I can apply for work). I can not live like this, its bad enough now that its causing me some health issues. My question is can I get divorced and continue with my GC application ?? Any one have any advise or experience with this kind of thing.

Yes I have my conditional green card (2 year)

You're okay as long as (you can show) your marriage was bona fide at the time you got your green card.

You can file for Removal of Conditions after you're divorced. On the form (I-751), one of the bases of filing is termination of marriage due to divorce.

You should file as soon as possible after the divorce is final, or within 90 days of the conditional green card expiring, whichever is sooner. (In other words, if your divorce is final, you do not need to wait until the 90 day before 2 years window. But in any case you need to file before the conditional green card expires, even if divorce is not final.)

As usual with Removal of Conditions, you will need to provide evidence of bona fide marriage (both before and after you got the green card), so start collecting it now. Since you are filing based on divorce, you should provide plenty of evidence, and expect an interview.
