District Office vs. National Center question

Hey,
If anyone knows, your help/experience would be appreciated:

I live in Atlanta, filed through Chicago box. Where do I check my I-485 status? Does it automatically go to Atlanta District Office?


What is confusing is that the return address fro all of my notices (485, 130, etc) cam e from Lee’s Summit, MO.

You check your status by calling the 800 number on your receipt or on USCIS website.

The Chicago Lock Box works as application router. All applications are filed there and then re routed to district offices. So you should not worry about it.
