I just joined.
I met my fiancee online...I never thought stuff like that happened I'm far too cynical....we've met several times and speak for about 4 hours a day online or
by telephone.
We are both either divorced or going through the process. So do have to wait until thats settled in the New Year before we can apply for the K-1.
I am a UK Citizen and my fiancee is a US Citizen.
I am really worried as I have criminal conviction. I am 36 years old and aged 19 was convicted of a minor assault. Since then I have never been in trouble with the police and always been in steady employment apart from 3 years spent at university gaining a degree.
Ever since we started on the K-1 Visa I have sort of thought with it being 17 years ago and a one off I won't have a problem being accepted. But now we are actually completing forms I am getting really worried.
I am going to be automatically refused on the grounds of this act of stupidity in my youth?
Any comments would be very welcome.
