Disappointing News for I-140 Premium Processing

Like I said on this board a month ago, that I-140 Premium Processing is not useful because I-140 is much faster than ever (2 months), when the new processing time came out at end of March,

Here come the news from http://www.immigration-law.com/:

Updated 4/19/2002:
"The INS has disclosed that the INS will not start premium processing for I-140 petition now, according to the AILA report. The news of I-140 premium processing has been on and off from various INS sources for the last one year. It appears, though, that eventually the INS may start it at some point down the road. The news of delay is indeed disappointing."

-- Now looks like INS is learning how to balance the worklogs.
They should pay more attention and do more things to I-485 cases, don\'t you think so?

No Title

It makes sense to put off I-140 premium processing since I-140 moves so rapidly. Comparing with the time we have waited, I-140 processing is like nothing. From selfish point of view, I hope INS speeds up I-485.

We are not selfish. INS should clean up the bottle-neck, if they know how to balance worklog. Thanks

Because bottle-neck is blocking everybody, even I-140 filers. I-140 is nothing if no 485 approval, right?!

The bottlenecking part in the GC processing is I-485. For ea. I-140 approval there is

at least 1 I-485 applicant (most of the cases 2 or more). So I-485 processing time has to be 1.5X faster than I-140 processing for smooth GC processing. Otherwise the processing time for I485 will be longer and longer. So PP for I-140 alone will be more problem than now.

I hope INS can understand that I-485 is BOTTLE-NECK! Not bull red-neck. eom

One way to clear this TSC mess is

Put the most effort on I-485 and get the processing time to 2 months.
Then start PP on both I-140 and I-485

Probably INS will start Premium Processing on 485, or backlog on PD or on country. Not sure what the
