Dear Friends

My Brother has a 2 year Diploma in Pharmacy and he has a 3 year BA degree. Does any one know that if he can qualify for the FPGEE exams. He has 15 years of experience. I appriciate your time and helpin advance.

Regards

He will not qualify . He will probably have to do several courses in the US first. The FPGEE requires the equivalent of a 4 year degree as far as I am aware.

Hi Linda

Thanks for your reply. May I ask you if you know what are the courses he needs to do in US to qualify for FPGEE exam or if you know from where I can get this info. Thanks again for your time.

contact the NABP ( national association of boards of pharmacy) which is like an umbrella organisation which represents the boards of pharmacy of the individual states - it oversees the fpgee exam and will be able to give you full details - do a search and you will find their website and this should give your further info. That will be your first step - then depending on which state you intend to practice - contact their state board of pharmacy for details on that state's requirements for registration of foreign pharmacists. Good luck.
