I-130 doesn't cancel your F-1 status.
However, once you leave, you are likely to be refused entry back into the US because of the I-130 showing your immigrant intent. If you want to return, you need to file I-485 (if you are eligible at this time) and get Advance Parole before leaving the US, or switch to a dual-intent visa like H1B that would allow you to enter the US regardless of immigrant intent.
