Dilemma

I am perplexed as to what to do. I have filed for my I485. I have just gotten married . I have to apply for my spouse. We would like to apply for Consular Processing trying through ACI140. If the ACI140 is not accepted then I will apply for my spouse' I485. Consulted existing lawyer regarding the possibility. Was informed that they were not comfortable going through the ACI140 route and I should consult another lawyer.

My dilemma lies here:

1. My petition is through the existing firm. Would I have to replace the existing firm with the new lawyers? This is as I have already paid for the last stage.

2. Is there any suggestion for a lawyer who has experience with CP in Mumbai, India.

Thanks

Answer: This would imply filing certain INS papers to change lawyers and legal firm (this may take upto 1 month to go into effect...i may be wrong about this). As far as any money paid would be considered all gone unless your existing lawyer agrees to pay back.

Answer: Check with Rajiv Khanna!
