Difficulty in getting experience letter from prev employer

I am facing difficulty in getting experience letter from prev. employer. I have all the Pay Stubs; can I do anything to overcome this harrasment from prev. employer of simply ignoring all requests to provide an experience letter?
This is an issue many who leave an employer for another might be facing. Certainly affidavit from a friend to certify that I worked from X to Y period as XYZ professional is one possibility.

Is it possible for me to give similar affidavit for myself, duly notarized?

I also got the letters from my co-workers who worked with me . I am also posting the sample letter. Have your friend signed it and get it notarized (that is must). You can change the description as you want . You can more stuff.

Can this letter be from anyone working at the same place, including some colleague, but from different company than the H1B company?

Like if I was working on project at company A, could I get the letter from some colleague from company A?

Of course, my H1 company is not the same as company A.

it has to be from someone who worked with you/supervised you. It is better if the person worked for the same company as you at that time.

Alternatively if the client for which u were working can write something that will be qreat
 
I am also in a similar dilemma.
Is this letter have to be on the company's letterhead? (Either the original company or a new company where the colleague works now)

Can my collegue who works in other company now, give this letter without any company's logo?
