I found the following questions are hard for me, that is , I would not
answer correctly unless I purposefully prepare myself. If there is a pattern
in people's cognition, they may be the same hard question for you

Q7: how many amendments does the Constitution have?
Q9: What are two rights in the Declaration of Independence
Q20 Who is oine of your state's US senetor now
Q21 The house opf representatives has how many voting memebers?
Q23 Name your representatives
Q40 who is the chief justice of the United States now
Q43: Who is the governor of your state?
Q66 When was the Constitution written
Q67 Fedealist Papers supported the passage of the US Constitution. Name one of the writers
Q77 What did Susan B. Anthony do?

I can answerr other questions without even studying for them
although I am not sure if my questions must be very exact.
Also, how complete must our answer be? If you only say two of
three countries (Japan, Italy, Germany) for Q81 who did teh US fight
in the World War II, wil the IO accept that?

Don't worry, you'll find yourself studying these questions more and more as you approach your interview date. By the time you go to the interview you'll master the questions and the answers. I have yet to see a member of this board fail the civics test. I think if you have the know-how of getting on the Internet and posting on this board you have enough wits to succeed on the civics test. Don't worry :) I even got to memorize the 13 colonies. Get someone to ask you questions and focus on the tough ones.

For questions like that you just have to learn the answer. It is as simple as that. For some of the other questions it helps to understand the background but the ones you quote really are just rote learning.

Incidentally, Q23 should be "name your representative" (singular). Whilst both of your state's senators represent everyone in the state, a house representative only represents people in the area they cover and vice-versa.

There is no partial credit on this exam.

I agree completely with Huracan's answer above. My wife and I used exactly that approach and the test was not an issue. Just memorize the most important aspects of each answer. The truly important question is, if you want to be an American citizen, knowing these answers should, at some level, be important to you in general, and not just for the test... :)
