Different Signature on DS230 and passport...

Dear ALL,

My wife(principle applicant) has signature in native language in her passport. But Once coming to US, she has been using English signature in all the documents including Driver's License. When sending forms to KCC, she has used English signature. Now will it be a problem during interview since signature in passport and forms does not match? If so, how can it be corrected? The only way I can think is making a new passport and sign that in English. Your suggestion is highly appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance.

I don't think it will be a problem IMO.
But if its possible for you to renew the passport than do it ! just for safety sake .

Thanks for your opinion.
It seems like it is a very time consuming process to renew passport in my home country.
Since I will have a very limited time before the interview. I also think signature will not be a problem. But some people suggests to have the same signature in the forms and passport.

They actualy compare the signature between the 120 and 230 form to see if it matches !
My wife also has a new signature since we got married, and I will not worry about it :)
But you can always ask som1moms on the AOS thread because you are aos, I'm sure
She will give you a better answer :)

Just get an affidavit stating both the signatures are of the same person and you should be fine.

Actually, I am switching from AOS to CP :)

Thanks lionhawk,

Where do I get such affidavit? Is it from the same office where I got the passport?

Thanks,

You execute this affidavit through an attorney or a commissioner of oaths. I'm not sure where you get your passport in your country, but going to the local court house is the best place to find an attorney or a commissioner of Oaths. In certain commonwealth countries, like Australia and Sri Lanka, a Justice of Peace can execute this affidavit too.
