Different Name issue

My grand-daughter was born in Macau and my name was included in her birth certification. However this name spells differently with my legal name because offical language in Macau is Portuguese, not English.

Is name issue matter here? If so. how to prove those 2 names are referring to the same person?

Don't worry, they will know. My name in my passport spelled in French, and it is completely different from the one in English (on my GC). Never had problems.
You don't need any proofs. And anyways, what is it for?

Dani,

Thanks for your response. I want to add my grand-daughter as a derivative to the petition under my daughter. I think I will need to submit the child’s birth certificate to the NVC.

No problem... Hm, if you have any documents issued in US by INS with your name in it in English transcription, just put that version in there.
Best of luck!
