I did a fax enquiry for the FBI name check and I got the following e-mail message from agent Hardy
Dear Mr. <My name>:
This is in reference to your facsimile dated XX, 2004, concerning the immigration status of you. The FBI conducted a record check for you on Feb XX, 2004 and the results were forwarded to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Sincerely yours,
<Name of the officer>
This is different from most of the messages I have seen here which said
Dear Mr. <My name>:
This is in reference to your facsimile dated xxx, 2004, concerning the immigration status of you . The FBI completed a record check for you on xxxxx 2002. The results were forwarded to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

<Name of the officer>
Is there is difference in these messages ?? (Completed Vs Conducted)
Am I reading too much or does this mean they still have to do some more checks ? They say they did the check in Feb 2004. My 140 got approved in april 2004. My wife got her EAD in July 2004. Please advise ....
