Different job/different salary

Hi y'all.

Has anyone taken a new job after 180 days in a different computer field than the previous job? Let's say you are
an Oracle DBA and then take a job as a Level1/2 customer
support, what ramifications are there ? Does the BCIS
care that much?
 
Yes - they do, the way they check is thru the O*NET job classification database.

You should be able to provide a job description and day-to-day job duties in the new job that matches the description in the LC. Also look up the titles in O*NET to see what the database says.

From my ignorant point of view, it will be very difficult for you to prove AC21 portability unless you can prove what you did as DBA is pretty much what you are doing in Customer Support.
