Different Case Status for Wife and Myself

:confused: I received the interview notice early this month, but my wife is still waiting for hers - we filed our cases and did the finger prints at the same time.

Tracing the case status online, we could find my case status - not updated as it still says "application received on ....", however, www.uscis.gov could not locate my wife's case.

Would appreciate if anyone with similar experience can share their thoughts or explain the reasons behind the difference between my wife's case status and mine.

Newark, NJ case
PD: 8/19/05
ND: 8/23/05
FD: 9/22/05

You may schedule with local INS office or Infoseek to inquire. Do let us know your wife's update. Maybe she is stuck by name check ( You can ask FBI too )

This is strange. Because if I understood correctly it should be the other way around. If her case is not available on line, usualy that means she shoud get her interview letter, and since yours still shows the info...you may not get the interview letter yet :confused:

my case was never been found, never been able to be added, until the day i received the interview letter. it never got updated even i received my oath letter.
 
Same case, is it normal

Both my wife and I filed N-400 on 10/27/05. We got notice for FP at the very same time on the same day in Early December.

Now my wife received her Interview letter and I did not. Is this usual, or should I have received it at the same time?

My case is still online at USCIS and hers is gone from the website... that makes sense but worried about the reason we did not get appointment letter at the same time.

Anyone? :confused:

Each application is considered independently. So it is not surprising that your wife has received the interview letter, but not you.

To give you a somewhat extreme example, let me tell you what happened to my wife's case and mine. Both of us have a PD of 03/14/2005 and both of us provided our first FP on 05/05/2005. My wife was called back for a second FP on 06/22/2005. I got naturalized on 12/14/2005 and my wife is still waiting for her interview letter. Her second FP were ok and her namecheck is complete, but still no interview letter.

Hopefully you will not have to wait very long.

I found out that my wife's namecheck was complete at the end of my own interview. The officer was kind enough to check on the status of my wife's application upon my request.
