Difference in salary - greatguru pls help

I am on payroll of a consulting company that has specified $55000 as my salary when applying for H1. I am now on a project that pays me more than this number. Is this discrepency in salary okay?

Also, I get paid 15 days late (get paid end of the month for the first half of the month). Is this normal?

H1 salary is the minimum salary prevailing at that time in your state. Any thing less than that is a proble. More no problem.

As far as you are receiving your pay stub with in a month , that is OK.
Interval varies company to company.
