My Case details are

PD 09/98
RD 28 Oct 99
ND 5 Nov 99
1 FP 3 Jan 00 2 FP 08/30/01
cat EB3 India
EAD & AP approved 3 times

I recently(Last week) talked to TSC who told me that my case has been given to a Supervisor on 18 Jul. That seems to be true as after repeated requests my 2 FP came in 1st week of Aug(was scheduled on 30 Aug).

My question is that i am under the assumption that for 485 to be approved the case has to be assigned to an IIO.
Is the IIO the same as a supervisor(Just different words)???
Moreover after it was assigned to a Supervisor a 2 FP notice came (TSC confirmed that the results from FBI are okay(sent back on the same day)

Thus would the same Supervisor take up the case again???
The TSC folks were not very helpful on this issue.

Any input would be highly appreciated

waiting_on_ins,

My understanding is:

IIO-as good as an operator-no powers-just relays info back to u based on what they see on the screen
Supervisor-one who manages these IIOs by having the authority to schedule FPs if expired and things of that nature
Officer-the VIP-adjudicates your case- will never come in contact with people directly!
