What is the difference between household member and joint sponsor for I-864?My mother does not have income to support my brother from whom she filed for citizenship. I am her supporter. On the website it gives 2 options, household member and joint sponsor. Am I also her household member as well as joint sponsor?

You can only be your mother's "household member" if she claims you as a dependent on her taxes, or you live in the same residence as her. Otherwise, you can only be a joint sponsor. A household member fills out I-864A, and the household member's income is included on the sponsor's household income on the sponsor's I-864. On the other hand, a joint sponsor fills out a second I-864 (so there are two separate I-864s, one from the petitioner, and one from the joint sponsor); the joint sponsor's income is not added with the petitioner's income.
