Didnt receive greencard even after an year after stamping

Hi,
So that's the situation..I never recieved my card..it's been close to a year now since my passport has been approved. My wife got hers within a month of the interview/stamping which happened on the same day as me. I have about two weeks left for the stamp to expire. What should I do? Go to the local INS office without an appointment? Anyone know what I should be doing? The lawyer doesnt respond anymore, as she isn't getting paid after the 485's been approved.

Thanks for that quick response. I've had a real tough time getting back into US via london all because I didnt have the card(was rerouted via Germany, at considerable discomfort to me and the wife). Do you know if there is anything I can do to get the card this time? I realize that INS works in mysterious ways, but...
