Did anyone have experience of FP in Brooklyn, NY

Yesterday I received a letter for 2nd FP (scheduled on Sep. 2 in USCIS, Brooklyn, NY) from VSC. The problem is that I will go to vacation on Sep. 1, did anyone have experience of FP in Brooklyn office? I want to go there on Aug. 31 (two days before the schedule), I don't know if they do FP every weekday and if I will be allowed to do this ahead of time.

By the way, I just informed VSC of my address change at the mid of Aug via mail. Maybe this triggered something, I am not sure. Ah, no updates in the online message for the I-485, still something about the transfer, and last update date is still Aug.3, 2004.

Thanks!

I have FP on 11th sep which I may try to get postponed. Incidentally on another post uncsys mentioned that most probably the do FP's only on wed and saturday so please check.

My appointment is Sept. 2, which is Thursday. I am going to try on Aug. 31, otherwise, I am going to reschedule it.

I got my fingerprint done this morning. It was very smooth, I don't think that they checked the scheduled appointment date in the notice. I am somehow relieved now.

Good for you friend. I am planning to go on Sep 11th. How is the parking round that place. Any tips. Did you go my mass transport.

Thanks,

Yeppo

I would recommend you to take a train (LIRR if you are in long island) or subway since there are no parking nearby. I arrived there at 9AM by LIRR (Long island rail road) and got my fingerprint done at 9:30AM. Just take the notice and your passport.

I am in Long Island. Which line is this i.e. do trains from Ronkonkoma to Penn go via this and which station is nearest. Sorry for alll these questions.

Thanks,

Yeppo

Change in Jamaica to Flatbuch, then 5 min walk to the USCIS office. You just need buy one ticket from your station to Flatbuch.

NI-NIW,

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate the detailed help. No way I am driving now. Will take the train.

By the way is it Flatbrush Avenue which you are referring to.

Thanks.
