i just received my interview letter. asks for a whole bunch of documents nothing specific, also asks for 2 ADIT style photos. does that mean the usual immigration photos. i'm assuming that, coz it says to submit if not previously submitted.
hmmm infact for all documents it says only if not previously submitted. so i guess i'll take them anyway to be on the safer side.
so my night mares start again.
just pray for me.:(

When was you case transferred to the Detroit office. When did you get the interview date? Please post when you get a chance.

my case was transferred july 22, my interview date is oct 23 i got the notice sept 17th.
its been almost 2 yrs since i applied my 485.

did u get a transfer as well? let me know.

going by my dates, it takes approximately 2 mths for them to schedule an interview. so i guess urs will be around december.
at this pt i just wish it were oct 23rd and i was all done. atleast i'd know for sure whether or not i'll be here for new yrs.:(
well keep in touch and i'll definitely let u know how it goes for me. maybe u can learn from my mistakes.

Do they allow us to reschedule the interview... I am planning to go on Vacation in December, I was wondering if there was anything on your interview notice that said you could rescedule?

hi!
my letter does say that i can reschedule, i can either mail or fax them with an explanation. the letter you get will explain everything in detail.

got ap in march 03, used it in august 03.
as for my interview, just pray, i need it.:(

hello,

my interview went great,my wife's passport and mine got stamped. finally its all over.
god we dont know what to worry abt now?????????????????????????????

anyways my interviewing officer was Biestak.
called us in around nine, both my wife and me together. asked us to take the oath. then said she would ask us questions individually, she asked me why there were discrepencies in my name in different documents. i expalined the initial expansions.( good old indians)
thats all she asked me. asked for my employment letter.
asked my wife for proof of living together. we gave her all the necessary stuff. lease, insurance papers etc.
thats it she stamped our passports and took our finger prints. she was nice and polite.

said it will take 6 months to 1 yr for our actual card to come.
we are so relieved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had my interview on 11/04, my wife's passport and mine got stamped as temp evidence for a year. The interviewing officer was Sullivan.

RD - 9/28/01
ND - 10/28/01
1st FP - 3/3/02
2nd FP - 9/13/03
NO RFE.
Case transferred to Detroit office on 09/24/03.
Interview notice rvcd on 10/22/03 for Nov 4th Interview @ 8:00 AM.
Approved and passports stamped on 11/4/03.

funny u didnt get an RFE but still got transferred. but who cares now. its all over.
congratulations again. now u can go on ur vacation in dec.
it was dec wasn't it.

did u ever apply for an ead renewal to the local detroit office. i did in sept, b4 my interview, now nebraska sends me a receipt notice for it dated nov14th!!!!!!!!!!!

since i already have my 485 approved i don't see why they are still processing my ead application.
let me know if u have any idea abt what i can do.
