Desperately need advice

WAC 01-237-xxxxx. RD:5/17/01, ND:7/17/01. AP: 8/10/01. Applied EAD the same time as the I485. Fax inquiry once for EAD in Jan of 2002 yielded RFE. Fax inquiry for I485 status three-time from Jan to Feb of this yea(followed the instruciton in the form to three different fax numbers in a setpwise manner). No response from INS so far. AVM satating "it takes 999 day to process". Can anyone give me some sugggstions? Should I fax again starting from the first fax number, or I can call the associate direct office as it instructed in the instruciton after three-time fax? Thanks in advance!

you should call IIO

In your situation, while many May-filers are approved but you are still waiting for FP notice, you should definitely call INS and talk with an IIO to find out what went wrong. If you are lucky you can reach some nice IIOs and they can sort things out for you. 10 months after 485 filing and no FP yet is a good reason to call.
 
Try to visit the local INS office in your city!

We (my wife and I) have never received our FP appointment notices,
and we had my lawyer send many fax inquries for FP, but
did not get response at all. However, We visited the local
INS office in Honolulu on Jan 03, the IIO in the local office
issued FP appointment notices for us, then our FPs were taken
and processed by the local ASC on that day. But the AVM msg
has never updated since our FPs were done on Jan 03. Went to
the local INS office again for checking the FP status, the IIO
told me that our FPs were loaded on the INS system 1 (get access
by A#) on Feb 6th.

It would be better to bring a letter written by your layer wiht
you when you go down the local INS office.

Just called IIO using the number listed on "fax inquiry procedure". The lady hanlded the call was unbelieveably rude, she simply said "I cannot help me" and hang up. I guess the only option I have is to go to local INS. Acoust, what kind of letter from the lawyer do I need to bring with me. Thanks.

not received their figerprint apporintment notices. Please send their
notices to our office and we will forward it to them. The couple would
like to have their applications adjudicated as soon as possible and
the processing of their figerprints will speed up the process.

Remeber bring your I-485 receipt notice and passport with you
in case the FP to be taken on that day. Hope this works for you.
If it does not work, please try to send INS level 2 fax inquery.
