Hi gurus

I am been offered a job for a permanent position, where I am now as a consultant.

Will I be able to change my job? Which is the safeway to change my job using AC21 or H1b?

I have a valid 3 yr HIB Visa.

Please advise of any pros and cons. Appreciate your inputs.

H1B: valid till 2010 and stamped

You can change your job in December since it will be more than 180 days. AC21 would be the best option. I am planning to change my job after my 180 days expires.

thanks kaushiks for your input.

I read somewhere in this forum that using H1B transfer is much safer than using EAD. Since, we dont have to use AC21 and also we dont lose our H1B Visa. Since GC is for future employment, we agree to the sponsoring company that we will work for them after getting GC.
Please correct me if I am wrong. Any inputs appreciated.

It's safer by some non-zero amount, but I would say "much" safer.

Using AC21 doesn't depend on using the H1 or an EAD. If your intent is changing and you now intend to work for the new employer permanently, then I would use AC21.

Thanks TheRealCanadian

Please advice on this scenario.

I have applied GC through a Company A and doing consulting with the client Company B.
If Company B wants me to join them as their permanant employee for the same job , what I am doing as a consultant.

If the GC sponspor Company A accepts that they will not revoke my GC process, Now, can I accept the job offer from company B, using EAD or H1B? Should I have to inform USCIS and apply for AC21 or not? Should I have to be on payroll with Company A until my GC is approved?

Thanks in advance.
