Why do most of the Desi Employers :
1> Do not give 140 Lin numbers to their employees?
i-140 is very important document. your employer hide it from you to:
a. prevent you to use that priority date in case you decide to process your gc from another employer
b. beg them to know its details and have a copy. in case you decide to leave that bodyshopper and join another employer in h1 or go for stamping or apply GC again you need the copy of the i-140 details.
c. prevent you to file i-485 yourself based on that i140 so that they can leave on your hardwork and make themselves RICH.
2> Take cash from employee and pay for GC process?
because.....
a. you cannot later claim that you gave it (now a days frauds started collecting in the name of training fee)
b. GC processing cost are supposed to be companies operating cost. without investing single penny on your GC they will use that amount as operating cost and deduct from their huge profit to offset tax. if IRS finds it they will be in jail. ofcourse their gc will be revoked if they are jailed for over 1 year and deported irrespective of their greencard status.
3> Make more and more from employee but pay as little as possible?
this applies to non=desi companies also
4> Make themself very hard to talk too... pretend to be very busy.
thats the only way to escape. if you smell something fishy about your employer then force them to communicate only in email. no phone calls. never attend their phone. let them leave the voice mail. save all email communications even after leaving them or getting GC.
5> Treat there fellow country men and women Disdainfully?
6> The nomeclature and characters of Desi employees seems to be same every where ... why ?
coz they know the pain, need and importance. they suffered. they use that trump card. you be different. voice for your rights. be on right path. get everything in writing.
Are they few good desi employees too ?
yes there are good employers too but very very very minimal.
