Derivative Status For Spouse

I was granted asylum last year March and I need my spouse to come over. However me and my spouse did not have a white wedding but had a traditional wedding whereby I paid lobola. On my original asylum application, I indicated that I was not married because I did not obtain a marriage certificate. What do I do for my wife to come here? Should I just file the derivative status application form as my two year time period has not elapsed? What do I submit since I do not have a marriage certificate? Please help, I will sincerely appreciate it!

You have to be legally married to file for your spouse. I would consult a lawyer.

Yes you will need legal advice. You already told the INS that you were single. Taking back that statement could invite accusations of fraud which would be a very serious matter.
