I am a physician who did his training in the US. Currently, I have a job offer and I got my i 140 approved on an EB2 in early Feb. My lawyer got my packet 3 from the NVC 10 days ago and I initially had to send it to the consulate in Chennai. However, now I get an email from them stating that there are new rules and all the forms including the visa processing fee have to be mailed to the dept of state to be screened. They inturn would mail it to the consulate. Did anybody else get this kind of info on filing?
Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
