Dependent's RFE

Me and my wife's 485 were approved on April 4th. But my son got RFE, Can anyone had this kind of situation.

What might be the possible reasons for RFE?

Also Can they may ask any primary's documents like tax returns, paystubs,Employment Letter etc?

There are many possibilities - medical, birth certificates, past visa status, entry-exit record. It's unlikely RFE will be for paystubs or empployment verification.
