Dependent visa with H1 7th yr extension

Hi,

My husband's employer has applied for a 7th yr extension of his H1 visa. His current visa is expiring in December and he might get his extension approved sometime between november and december. This being the case, can I apply for my H4 with my husband's extension approval papers once he gets them or should I wait for his visa to be stamped?

---YES, you could have applied your H4 extension with your spouse H1(if you are in US) if spouse who is on H1 has not applied his H1 then send your H4 extension with form I-539 with his H1 extension papers, you both will get H1 and H4 extended/approved same day
or should I wait for his visa to be stamped?
