Just didnt know where to put this discussion, so putting it here, is it possible for a H1 holder or Green Card holder to sponser his/her parents as a dependent, i.e H4 for parents? Please let me know - thanks

I do not think so. H4 is only for spouse and children. Parents cannot come on H4. Can come on B2 (Visitor visa) and stay here for 6 months in one stretch. Once you get citizenship, then you can sponsor parents but not before that.

Even if you have gc, applying for parents gc is long long wait. But after citizenship they get it within a year a two
