Hello Experts,
I have a question, may be very simple for all of you.
I am an IT professional and My wife is a physical therapist and is likely to get GC in next 2-3 months.
But she does not plan to work.
My questions are
1) If she does not work, will it be possible to keep the GC
2) I will get a GC alongwith her, would that have all rights same as primary GC.
3) Is GC for some term or for life? If GC is for a specific term(say 9, 10 yrs), will there be a problem to extend it.
4) If she does not work, will this be a problem to apply for citizenship after 5 yrs of holding GC

Please respond
Thanks

YES, but you will get woman's right such as maternity leave3) Is GC for some term or for life? If GC is for a specific term(say 9, 10 yrs), will there be a problem to extend it. GC is permanent residency, after 5 years of continuous stay in US you can apply Citizenship.
4) If she does not work, will this be a problem to apply for citizenship after 5 yrs of holding GC. May be , because, they give GC for shortage of PT, if you are not working why do you need GC, she can be live here with you, without working on H4 visa.
