Hi,

I would like to know if somebody had an any updates with dependant cases

I485 EB2
RD 09/18/02
ND 10/18/02
1-st FP 11/22/02
2-d FP 08/10/04
3-d EAD approved 08/23/04
No RFE
AD - 09/30/04 - for me & my son

My husband's case still in pending status
He already had a 3-d FP at December 2/2004
At the beginning of January I called to INS and asked to do an inquiry for his case and had an answer to call again in 60 days
His LUD never changed from November 2002(our 1-st FD)

dependent approved after 5 months

The dependent was approved finally, but it took them another 5 months

2 FP (primary):07/2004 AD(primary):08/2004(no RFE)
2 FP (dependent):08/2004 RFE(dependent):12/2004 AD(dependent):01/2005

I am in the same boat...self approved, but spouse still waiting

Hi guys,

I just got approved y'day (online). But I did not receive the approval email for my wife. I am concerned since we both filed together.

elena1, GKNair, ali 2672 - did you guys file together with your spouse or separately. I am trying to get a sense of why they might be processing separately. Most of the messages on this board I read seem to be saying that all dependents get approved together if the filing was done together.

What is your read? Thanks for your input guys.

filed together

We filed together on 09/2002 based on approval of I140-EB3. I was told that sometimes the files are assigned to different officers, even though they were filed together. Also, when I called USCIS they told me that each case is different, and sometimes it takes longer for the dependent. As you saw in my case it took them another 5 months to approve the dependent and she got RFE too.
