denied entry into US 2 years ago......will that harm a i 130 case?

hello. before my husband and i were married, he was denied entry on the waiver visa on the grounds that he couldnt prove non immagrant intent. he told border patrol he was visiting his girlfriend and was staying for 3 mths. i have since filed i 130 and i 129 k 3 visa. will his denial play a part in the descion? thanks for any help or advice.
