This is RAGHAVENDRA .
i had graduated from univ on December 2008 , and i had filed for OPT (employment authorization) on November 5, 2008 and my OPT application received by USCIS on October 30,2008
My Application got confirmed and i got a Receipt Number also.
During the Application Process The USCIS has requested me for some aditional evidence , and sent me a notice ,but somehow that notice which has sent to me from USCIS has
not be delivered due to some problem with the USPS and my mailing address. Later i called USCIS and changed my mailing address
and during this call i also enquired about that notice for additional evidence, then they changed my address and resent the notice to the above address.And i also filed AR -11 form for chanage of address and got electronic confirmation number also.
After i recieved the request for additional evidence notice on Feb 28 , 2009 from USCIS , in the same mail i have received confirmation of address change from USCIS.In that notice USCIS given me 30 days(march 28) period to respond to that notice by sending the requested docs. In response to that notice i sent the request for evidence documents on march 02 ,2009. well before the given time (feb 28-march 28) by USCIS i had responded to that notice.
Following my response to additional evidence documents , USCIS updated my case statuts on March 5, 2009 mentioning like USCIS received my DOCUMENTS. USCIS updated my case status on USCIS website as follows
APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION
Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.
On March 5, 2009, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
My case status today on USCIS website is also the same as above .
But on march 10 USCIS has sent me mail stating that my applicatin got declined due to not submitting my request of evidence, but i have already submitted that docs and USCIS has also updated the same info in their website and USCIS call center has also confirmed that they received my docs in time and the case is in process.
Today i.e., march 19, i called USCIS call center 3 times regarding my application status
on my first call to USCIS one guy answered me that application got declined . and i have to refile it again within 30 days .AND I CAN OPT FOR A NEW FILE R REOPEN THE MOTION .
and again i called USCIS for the second time just after the first call , this time a lady spoke to me and said like my application is in process and she also filed a service request and gave me a Reffferal Number.
and given 45 days to process .
After this call i explained the whole scenerio to my univ and seeked her suggestion on call.she suggested me to confirm the present status on my application whatever it
may be .and as of her suggestion i called USCIS just after her call , this time i asked USCIS just please confirm me the status as i got 2 different answers from ur collegue and
explained whole scenerio to that lady , i also said about two different answers that USCIS guys gave to me .This lady said in a confirmed way that my application not declined .
Application present status is active and pending .and she assured not to worry as she confirmed me that application not declined.She also said like someone may have given
wrong information saying my application got declined. she said my application is in pending and i have to wait for more 30 days .
Now my present status on USCIS website is as follows.

So this is my OPT case scenerio, please suggest on what to do and i seek ur help on how to proceed further if my case got declined after 30 days, but hope it goes well as of
now.And as of now i decided to wait for more 30 days as USCIS lady said my application takes 30 more days on process for further response.
and dramatically my univ guys confirmed that they had a notice in their database stating my OPT got Declined on march 12. So now please suggest me on wt to do next and i have only 20 more days to react and take a step further..I taught of filing the OPT I 765 application again and do the process for beginning .
and well here i also had a doubt like can i go back to univ in join college on F1 status. so please suggest me on what to do next .
