I was waiting for GC interview since 2003. They sent appointment letters for interview to the wrong old address. I, however, recieved the forwarde denial letter and not the appointment letters for interview.

I have evidence of change of address from three documents sent to me from the USCIS address since I moved. The ones are important though was sent to my old address. You would think such important interview documents will be sent correctly; it did not happen!

Included is information about motion to reconsider or reopen. It was not my mistake. It was thiers. How can I pay $585 for such erroneous paper.

Any one help.

Just do a search and there're many cases like yours: 485 denied due to a no-show at the interview as a result of not receiving the notice. You'll win the case for sure, but not sure if you can save the $585.

talk to lawyer Or if you get infopass go to Local USCIS office with all the evidence that you updated your address with USCIS and still local office sent interview to old address. the person at window may not be of much help.

Ask for the supervisor and meet him/her and explain your situation.

Also contact your congressman and senator office and let them talk to local office (give them details that you updated the address with USCIS and provide the copy of any evidence. Explain to them that because of USCIS error you are forced to hire a lawyer and you may have to spend $1000. What is your mistake any why you should be penalized by USCIS for the mistake they did?
