Deliver time for I-129 approval notice for TN petition

Hello,

On USCIS website, my application status is shown as approved with the following explanation:

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

I am just curious if USCIS is going to use the courier service to send form I-797 to my petitioner. How long will it take to mail the form from Vermont to California? I wanted to estimate my start date and plan for moving.

Thanks.

They send these by ordinary mail. You may get a courtesy copy. It will be in the next several days.

Curious as to why you did not simply get a TN at the border, which you will need to show them all the paperwork an any event, and it would have saved any time delay. Of course, then the lawyers would not have made as much...

Thank you for your reply. The lawyer has told me they had received form I-797.

I had the same question you have. I have no idea why the company preferred to file a TN petition with premium processing service instead of providing the documentation and having me go to the port of entry to get my TN.
