delay in scheduling FPs

I heard abt this from my lawyer when she enquired abt my case status (my 1st FPs have expired) and also saw this update on one of the websites...

" AILA inquired as to why some fingerprints have not been scheduled for I-485s that are past the stated processing times. The CSC explained that some Application Support Centers (ASCs), which take the fingerprints, are booked several months in advance. Under current procedures, an appointment notice is not sent to the applicant more than 42 days before the appointment date. This does not mean that all notices will be sent 42 days in advance. The notices could be sent less than 42 days before the appointment. "

My question is how some folks (recent 140/485 concurrent filers) are getting FP appts scheduled while this excuse is given out for folks waiting for their 2nd FPs for the past 3-4 months?! Are there different queues for the ASCs??

485- Nov'02
FP- Feb'03
RFE-Apr'04

The CSC answer is a lie (as many other their answers)

I went to our application support center. I didn't have FP appointment. There were no people waiting for FP and I just talked to the workers. They were bored, they said sometimes nobody comes for FP, sometimes it is 2 -3 people per day. They don't have much to do so my visit was a little entertainment for them.

it really depends on each ASC. In my case, it took me half year to get FP notice when I was told it's pending for FP schedule. I went to ASC in GA trying for early FP twice, it was packed full! The Saturday is wrose than ever, the line is so long, it went all the way outside. As you can imagine, no early FP of course. By appiontment date and time only.

agreed! but this response is from CSC..
i think dima's comments refer to CA.
also my colleague went for early FP (san jose),
no problems...
