Delay in issuing FP

I was told by my congressmans office that Jacksonville FL is backed up and FP to be scheduled can take upto six months. My RD/ND is 4/01 annd I have to wait for another 6 months??????????????? Is this true guys?BTW this will be my second FP.

has your case been transferred ?
damn.. yours is such a old case.
The congressmans office shd know your case is 4 months older than TSC' off processing date.
by the way, are you from a special registration country ?
 
You can get a Walk In FP.

Mine was an old case with RD 2001. I never got a FP Notice. I decided to give a shot at the local office. I walkedin to the local office one after noon and told the officer that mine is an old case and never got FP. She then wrote a notice right there and asked me to get the FP done. I got the appointment for the same day and I came home with my FP done. So you also can give it a try.
 
No. I am not a special registration case. Yes.My RFE was ack 3/22/04.

but you still got a FP notice. you just walked in to the FP center to get it earlier than scheduled, right? based on your experience, do you recommend going without any FP notice?

As u said ur case is alive and u did received RFE.

keep sending FAX to TSC Director and ur RFE officer ask them to take action for FP notice issue.

and I believe they would be issuing the FP soon because u responseded the RFE.... it would be error they didn't sent u FP...... don't worry they would send u.

Let me make it clear. I never got the FP Notice from INS. What I got was the actual first notice from the local office by walking in. While issuing she asked me which date I want it schedule. Since I didn't want to wait any longer I said in 30 minutes if possible. So she gave me that schedule.

I went to Atlanta. I recommend this only to people whose case is old enough to convince the officer.

I was in the same situation. Called senator's office in end of january 2004 for status check since processing time was past my RD/ND. Rfe requested by INS in mid february and the letter stated that since FP expired, they will send out a notice. RFE received by TSC in the 1st week of march. FP notice received for my wife but not for me. I called them several times and finally wrote and faxed letters to the officer # on the RFE notice and the director of TSC stating that I have not received the fp notice. Finally they contacted the senator's office requesting the fax# of my attorney and faxed them the notice and thats how I got the Fp done. I called the FBI and they have completed processing on it and forwarded to NSC (instead of TSC). I don't know if thats the cause of further delay. I think it helped writing to the officer # on the RFE in my case.

1st FP: 6/02
RFE: 3/2004
2nd FP: 3/04

Multiple attempts may be needed to get a successful fax sent through as the number may be busy. I followed the fax with a written letter also both to the officer # on RFE and to TSC director.
