Delay in adjudicating I-612

It's been over 3 months since DOS sent a favorable recommendation to CIS but I haven't heard from USCIS. I am so nervous and desparate. Does anyone know why it takes so long for CIS to adjudicate I-612 and I was told that without the approval of the case I can't file my adjustment of status?

Delay too

We are in the same situation.

DOS sent a favorable recommendation on October 22, 2005. Since then I am waiting for the USCIS answer.
In late December I got a letter from USCIS stating they received my I-612 application. Therefore, they can start to process my case. They gave me a case number so I can track it, but not very helpful so far.

I live in California I do not know how long will it take. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Luis

are you guys physicians?

I'm interested in knowing whether you are physicians because I just got favorable recomm. from DOS, I thought this means in about a month I'll be able to start working in the underserved practice that filed for me...
thanks,
helen

I-612 adjudications

I am not a physician.

There is a significant time gap between the DOS and USCIS.
DOS sent favorable recommendation in Oct 2004.
But, USCIS received notice in late Dec 2004.
2 months in between for a notice? (that's too much).

Again, this is the California Service Center. I don't know how much will they take to process my case. In the website they claim 60-90 days.

Which service center corresponds to where you live?

Luis
