Hi, If I can not make it to do fingerprint on the date specified on the finger-print appointment letter, (because of traveling out of town), will they allow me to do it a few days or weeks late with this appointment letter? Or they will re-schedule it and send me another appointment letter?

You need to indicate that you can't make it on the appointment letter (just make to the office via infopass appointment to tell the officer that you want to postpone it, too).

They will re-schedule it and send you another appt. letter.

There really is no need to go through the hoops to reschedule an FP appointment. You can try doing a walk-in a few days before or after the actual appointment. From what I've read on this forum, you have 60 days from the original date to take your fingerprints, otherwise the USCIS will close your case.
