I talked to "IIO" today and he had an IQ 65. I asked about my case which is 70 days behing JIT and he kept repeating what he saw on the Internet, the case status - we received your fingerprints....

I kept asking about when will it be ready for adjudication, why is nobody answering my faxes, is it assigned to IO, how come there are April/May cases being approved before mine, .... all he answered was "I see your fingerprints were received....".

At last, to get me off the phone, he said to call back in 60 days.

He really was on top of the world.

I hope this is the last indignity that I have to go through in my life. I don't think there'll be anything else so demoralizing, something that has such big influence on my life but where I can't do a damn thing about. I've been through some very stressful events in life - communism, police state, poverty, war, layoffs and now CIS is trying to nail me. Let's see if these senators do me any good.

My touchdate (and for family) is 4/7/04.

No progress.

I have not sent any inquiries of any nature yet.

dont blame the IIO . THey dont have access to all the info.
IIO is just a name to fend off this type of inquirires. I pity them since they have to go through all this knowing that they dont have any info on your case.
This is USCIS ploy to so called good service... I am sure IIO;s are not too fond of not giving info to us.. they are helpless......

The first person on phone is not an IIO. He is just a "real person" audio system of your status that already exists on the website. Now, if you bug and ask for further help, sometimes this, "real person" audio system transfers to the next level called the IIO. He's the one who has better information and can dig every bit of information and do any good if he/she wishes too (conditional ofcourse, suite the mood attitude)...
 
May be in next a few days you will heard somegthing

I guess the officer in CIS will look you case again after 6/8 because your scheduled FP have not reached yet. He may just think that you are going to do finger print on 6/8 and then he will look your case after you have your FP done. Hope that will be a true to your case.

An update

HA!!!

This afternoon the status changed to "FP received on 6/5/2004" from "6/11/2002". Touched date - today.

So it did matter that I called and faxed. Unfortunately, it's only the status on the web site, nothing more substantial.
