I too wish to send my sympathies and best wishes. My loved ones in Southern Thailand survived safely, but I know many others did not. Love to all.

i too joined with my deepest sympathies and condolences to all those who lost their loved ones !!!

GOD BLESS US!!

I am not from that region, but i have lot of friends from those countries whom I met in the US. I also pray for quick and safe recovery.

May God give strength to the affected families to deal with the disaster.

I read this on FOXNEWS. I think it is unfortunate statement.
"Jan Egeland, the U.N. Emergency Relief Coordinator, said millions of people were effected — by lost homes, polluted drinking water, destroyed sanitation — and that the cost of the damage would "probably be many billions of dollars."

"We cannot fathom the cost of these poor societies and the nameless fishermen and fishing villages and so on that have just been wiped out. Hundreds of thousands of livelihoods have gone," he told reporters."

its terrible, my heartfelt for all the victims. I pray for quick and safe recovery.

dSatish, can you please post account details and usage of funds collected by immigrationportal.org? We have no idea how is that money being utilised and if the attorney that was hired part time has produced any tangible results so far. Also if we dont have too much on cards, can we donate some money to the tsunami effected disaster relief?

people lets push dSatish to make this donation...

Here is a list of aid organizations that are accepting donations for the relief of tsunami victims.

I personally donated to an Indian aid organization through the following link.

It's actually pretty easy since you can donate using your credit card and the amount can be anywhere from $5 onwards. Every bit counts. Plus there are tax benefits for these donations.

You gotta remember though ... while choosing an aid organization you should go with the one that has the least overhead so that the victims get the most benefit out of your donation.

Thanks!
