Declaring speed & parking citations on N-400

I have one speeding and one parking citation that have been resolved. I realize that I have to answer YES to either question 15 or 16 (maybe both)under part 10 D of form N-400. Which one(s) should I choose?

The speeding was captured by an automated machine and the parking ticket was given by an officer. The speeding was paid in full and the parking dismissed by the court becasue the officer did not show up. I have paid in full receipts of the speeding ticket. Do, I need some docs from the court or DMV for the parking violation?

Please let me know.

Thanks.

I got a parking ticket (paid in full). But I didn't mention it on my application as from what I understand, parking ticket is not a citation.

You might have to mention about your speeding ticket though..

i am extremely sorry,i dont want to start another debate on this topic as i am tired of it.
however i did mention my speeding tickets on the application and i did not have any issue with uscis.
but a speeding ticket is definitely not a criminal offence(dui/dwi/injuring someone while speeding/reckless driving=offence).
whereas u have been cited for speeding.

Parking tickets are indeed citations (they usually say so right on them: "citation number"), but they are deemed to be in a different category than so-called "moving violations", and my understanding is that parking tickets need not be reported.

Here is another interesting 'fact' that I have not yet been able to verify: I elected to go to traffic school for (apparently) running a red light and being caught by an automated camera. The traffic school instructor told me that technically violations caught by camera are, in fact, treated the same as parking tickets... that is, a lesser violation. He said it had something to do with the fact that an actual officer has to witness the violation and issue the citation. Sounds bizarre to me and if anyone knows any more about this, I'd sure like to know...

Parking tickets are written "against the car" as there's no way to prove beyond the reasonable doubt who parked the car illegally. That's why usually they are not shown on driver's records. The owner of the car would be respionsible for the fine, while in most other cases the driver of the car gets citation. I can't imagine IO making a big deal out of this. If asked about parking tickets on an interview, i.e. under oath, I would have mentioned them.
