Revalidation

I sent my paperwork Dec 30th.....arrive in st. louis Dec 31st....I guess I wait four months from now.......add me to your list..and keep me update with any news

DC received status : Help

Guys,

Called up DC to check whether they received my application,
after waiting for 45 minutes talked with a lady and she said that
they cannot give that information. Can anyone please tell me
what to ask and what information we need to give ?

All you need to tell the person on the phone is your passport number and yoru name, they will search their database and tell you what date it was entered into the system in DC, from that date onwards it is taking 10-12 weeks to get your passport back.

I have sent my visa for revalidation on 19th dec and they received it by fed ex on 20th dec..please add me also in ur tracking list and will try to keep with the update...will call dc this week and get to know the details about it..thanks

Kishuibm - Money Order is payable to "Department of State", MO is cheaper to get than a cashiers check.

Cashier Checks or Money order

Yes, Money Orders are cheaper than Cashier Checks.
For BAO account holders - Cashier Checks are free if you have an Advantage Account with Bank of America.

Hi guys,

Is there any way to trace H1-B reval status online?

Also, I have not received any receipt notice against my application and passport that I sent to St.Lois. Should I have got it?

There is no online revalidation check, the only way to find out whether or not St.Louis got your passport and application is to call the Wachington DC number, wait on line for an agent to speak to you and then they will tell you. They will ask for passport number so have it ready, all they will say is yes or no that your application was received and the day it was registered in their system, from that day onwards it takes 10-12 weeks before you will get your passport back.

As per July thread folks, please do not contact the visa office very frequently since they discovered that it's the same officers who answer phones are the one whom process our cases and each phone call might take more then 10 to 15 min , so it waste of time and more delay to our cases

When the passport is issued at Chicago. And you enter like

State/ Province :ILllinois

And when i print PDF the Country comes blank. Any body gone through this. My lawyer tells to write by hand. It it ok.

I sent my passport on 17 Dec and my DC date is 1st jan 04(Just told by lady in DC).
Now the thing is that my one year visa expiry anniversary is 06 Feb 04 which is tomorrow.

Do you think is the DC date matters or the date when visa officer actually get the case??

Good news:
Just called the state department, and got through within 3 mins.

Bad news:
"We no longer give any sort of status on the phone, including whether or not the passport was recd."

this was despite tellling them that I needed to travel soon.

Good news:
"We are currently processing cases filed in november".
