Hello Friends:

By GODS Grace, finally my case got approved. I had checked yesterday evening and it was still showing the damn old message of case resumed. But this morning when I checked, it said case approved on September 8, 2003. My spouse case also shows approved yesterday. But my child's case shows that the status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time. I guess I have to wait till I get the receipts and than contact BCIS to find out his status.
I was waiting desperately after giving my 2nd FP in Jun 03. I had even contacted my local Senator and Congressman, who had mailed me the consent form. I would have mailed these forms to them this weekend. But now thank GOD, I won't need it.
This case is a hope for people with 2nd FP. Please note that throughout this time, my message showed the First FP status and never got updated with the 2nd FP. It changed directly to approval.
Though I am definitely happy with the website and telephone update messages, I would rather wait for the Original receipts in mail to make sure it is indeed approved and than start celeberating. BCIS is weird and you never know what to expect or unexpect from them.
I would like to thank Rajiv Khanna for maintaining this great site, which is a source of hope for many people like me.
My special thanks to Dengdeng. He was helpful in many ways.
So guys, please hang in there, your turn will finally come soon.

I will keep you guys posted with updates.
I have to go to NYC for stamping. I would appreciate if anyone can share their stamping experince in NYC.
Regards and all the best to all of you

Congratulations !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drink and be merry!!!
I wish you a steady future bandhu.

:p :)

Congrats..
Good Luck..
Pls update www.rupnet.com/immigration.

Many with FP2 done and not being updated online would be delighted on this, including me :)
Looks like 90days after FP2 for FBI Check/Name/Security Check etc.

Firstly, Congrats!!!

Since it is NYC you must have an appt. on Friday.
Make sure that you reach NYC Federal Plaza bldg. by 7AM. I mean it.
From Grand Central take a subway to City hall . Brooklyn Bridge.(nos. 4 , 5 & 6)
Go to federal plaza.
Get on Worth Street (and not Broadway])and you will see a small line for people with Appt. only. The line at Broadway is huge, but only for ppl. without appt. and u have one.
Take 3 pics( if u do not have passport) and two if you have passport. Make sure the pictures are correct (white background etc.) according to the ADIT style. This is important as they might turn you down for this.
Take your I94's (all of them) , EAD, etc.
Your approval notice might say Rm. 102 but instead you should just go to the 8th floor(Rm. 800). Rm. 800 is the room for passport stamping. Ask the security guard if you have any doubts.
The reason I emphasize 7 AM is bcos , the Bldg. opens at 7:30 AM and being early will get u out by 10AM. If not then you might have to wait the whole day.

thanks

friends...thank you all for your replies.
another thing which I want to mention is that I saw couple of more cases with RD dec 19 and 20th get approved yesterday and today....looks like our cases were with the same officer who came back from vacation and approved them.
So guys with Dec RD...please keep checking your cases regularly....YOU NEVER KNOW when the good news will come.

Congratulations!!!
Your anxiety is Over and you are now a free bird. Enjoy life.
It gives light of hope to us who are waiting after 2nd FP.
