Dec 2002 I-485 Approved !!!!

Hi All,

Good news on my immigration front...My I-485 got approved today just 20 minutes ago. I got 2 emails from USCIS...my wife's case is still pending. Anyone knows how long it takes for spouse's approval after primary applicant's approval notice?

I tried to initiate a thread http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=148653 last week to work as a GROUP towards backlog but didn't received much momentum. Anyways I will still support the same if needed

This site has been very useful for me , Thanks to Rajiv Khanna for all his efforts. Also I would like to thank each one of you for providing valuable information. I sincerely hope and pray god for all of you to get your respective approvals soon

Very happy for you, I was thinking all of us with those dates are dead, my I-485 RD is 12/23/02 and ND is 01/25/2003. So, waiting anxiously one thing positive is that they are touching files with these dates.

What all routes did you try in recent days to get the approval.

I am april 2002 filer, waiting with my wife who has same ND. I believe FBI has cleared our name check and FP. Contacted congressman..

Congratulations Buddy!. I think your spouse case approval should be just mattter of time now anyday. So I am sure that you are having a magic party all night......

Please do some more magic so that our cases will also get approved :D

Congratulations! Glad to see the late 2002 filers getting the approval!
My husband has a RD of 12/21/02 and a ND of 1/21/03. His FP2 was done about 2 months ago. Hopefully, he will catch the train of the recent December 2002 approvals! :rolleyes:
 
Does that mean that for me, Sept 2002, something is doomed ?

I am just trying to guess with my wildest imagination.

I am Sept 2002, ND & RD. What does it mean ? Somehow my case is
doomed or my paperwork is lost or just has been plain thrown away ?

I mean what's so special about my case that makes it so ill-fated ?

ana2908, I mailed FBI, Made status enquiry, called local congessman ...in short tried everything. I was even planning to meet INS officer by taking infopass.

Sumanta, I seriously think you should make info pass appointment with immigration officer asap and talk to them and sort it. Your case is very old and I am sure they will give you valid feedback. All the best.
