Labor substitution case.
Changed job after 180 days of filing I485 while I-140 was pending.
Bought house when 485 was pending
AP2 still pending
AP2 triggered FP2.
AP2 was filed 07/29/04
Called USCIS when processing date was 08/XX/04
They told to call back when processing date crosses 30 days past my filing date.
When processing date was changed on 08/17/04 , i called again ( yesterday) and they told me to call back after 30 days as they are processing cases of June,04.
Does seemed logical to me !!
My exp about GC in totality is as follows ( don't mind if you don't like it, its only my views):
Be cautious and know the rules in advance.Ignorance is not a bliss.
Worry if some thing is going wrong, try to do some thing about it if you can.If you can't , leave upto GOD.
Believe in GOD and concentrate on your job, don't let GC fever take over on your most important asset "life".Yes life is more important than GC.
Don't fear unless you have serious issues in your case.
OK here are some other advantages of GC beside all you know.
* My home loan was rejected with 5% down for not being permanent resident. Rules are changed recently (or imposed recently or pressure to comply) as one of my friend was approved with 5% down on H1B from same underwriter.Now its 10% +PMI.
* You can get business franchise.
Last but not the least , Thanks to Rajiv for this woderful website.
I had been silent vistor for this website for 2 years.Today only I got posting rights to this forum.Now I shall be loging in to help other people based on what exp I got.
