I got the recipt number from the check that i gave the INS.
you can ask the bank for a copy of the check,and on that you fill find the EAC #

Looks like the attorney got the recipt on 13 th and they mailed it to me the same day.
I wasted a couple of bucks getting a copy of my check which came three days back and today i got the actual reciept copy itself...

Over enthusiasm costs money...
 
My substitute case is getting complicated

Filed substitute labor with 140 at california center on Oct 23rd, 2001.

Got a receipt date with WAC 02 - 033- 5XXXX dated Nov 09, 2001.

I dont know for what reasons but my case was transfered to vermont on Nov 15th, 2001.

Lost track of the 140 for nearly a month and now the automated message in Vermont said that the application was received on Dec 14th, 2001 and it would take 150 to 240 days to process this application.

God knows how long it is going to take..

Any clues.. Do substitute cases take longer than normal?

Do transfer cases lose the initial receipt date and go by the new receipt date? I am losing over one and half months hear.. any idea?

How do I check status of my I140?

Is there any automated email address to check status of my I140 at VSC? Ph. 802-527-4913 is always engaged?

Any updates on your 140? i checked AVM ....no movement
my ND is 6th Dec

Infact i read a few postings where Nov 15th ND are pending approval.
But i also saw a few postings of ND 20 Nov approved....
Looks like our turn in coming up shortly...

Also i noticed that the number of 140\'s filed in December are less compared to previous months..that should help us and the people who file in JAn ...i guess.

how did u come to know that less no of 140s were filed in Dec-Jan period.
Could you let me know the same.
I filed my 140 in late November 2001 and waiting for approval.

The information that i have is from reading various boards and this web site itself.
Since you filed end Nov,your case should be coming up for review in the next week or two.
If you go through the site on the whole, you will see that there are very few people posting DEC 140 RD most are OCT and NOV,that is the reason i felt that there are fewer applications.

How long does it take to get receipt

Hi Guys,

  My 140 petition was received by mail room on dec\' 19. Still my lawyer didn\'t yet get the receipt. can you post how long it takes to receive the receipt.

About reciept

Your lawyer should have got it by now in normal circumstances.
Mine was filed on 4 th dec and i recd the reciept by 12 th Dec.

I also filed another 140 from NSC on the 21st and got the recipt on 3rd.
