I am an US citizen of Indian origin married to an Indian recently. I am in India since last week of Oct and we got married during the first week of Nov. We left for Singapore for a couple of weeks after that and my passport entry indicates that I entered India in the first week of Dec.

I work for an US company with a special permission to work from home for next 3-4 months. While in India I am thinking of applying for immigrant status for my wife at New Delhi's consulate.

I have obtained a Resident certificate from FRRO office recently (my visa has since been converted to 'X' entry visa). I have also rented a house locally in India and have a rental agreement for next 11 months.

Any idea of what other things that we should produce in order to get going with the process. We plan to visit New Delhi's consulate office during last week of Jan.

Please post your suggestions. Many thanks

You can visit US embassy in New Delhi and they will guide you through the process.

As long as you are now considered a resident of India, you can DCF.
