Hi All,
My H1B has just been approved. The valid dates, however, are for a little more than three years - from Aug 15, 2006 to September 30, 2009 in stead of October 1, 2006 to September 30, 2009. My company has already applied for an amendment regarding this USCIS mistake. I have job starting date of October 1st week.

1) How long will it take to get the amendment?
2) Will I be able to start working from October 1st 2006 immaterial of the receipt of the amended approval notice?

Please help me by answering the queries.

Thanks
Arun

Approval date later than receipt date

My new employer applied for H1 transfer on May 1st 2006 and I started working for them on June 1st. Now the approval has come through with a August 1st begin date. Will this cause problem during visa stamping or any other time since I have already worked for my new employer outside the approval date range ?
